These 300x145x70 bricks, called autoclaved ancient bricks, are made of cement, blast furnace water slag, harmless slag, and other waste solids, and will be used in another environmental project of Runyuan – fly ash landfill closure project, marking a breakthrough in the use of harmless slag for JISCO.
For JISCO, the use of fly ash, steel slag, desulfurization gypsum, and other waste solid production wall products has been very mature, but mixed with harmless slag is the first time.
Harmless slag is the predecessor of the Dongxing Aluminum overhaul slag (including waste cathode carbon ash, waste refractory, furnace bottom material, etc.), which contains fluorine, cyanide, and other toxic components, not only pollute the environment but also threaten human health, is a hazardous waste, must be handed over to enterprises with relevant qualifications for disposal.
In recent years, the state has put forward higher requirements for environmental protection, as a representative branch of the circular economy of JISCO, Runyuan has taken the initiative to increase investment in waste and hazardous disposal, waste and solid utilization, and set up an aluminum slag treatment plant, and obtained a “hazardous waste business license”, specializing in processing the overhaul slag produced by Dongxing Aluminum Company, with an annual processing capacity of 10,000 tons.
At the same time, the wall material branch of the existing No. 3 brick line batching mixer outlet material mouth transformation, in the No. 3 line organization harmless slag ancient brick mass production trials, maximum consumption of solid waste.
In June, the wall material branch plant after dozens of test adjustments, finally determine the water slag, harmless slag, cement ratio, and clear raw materials feeding, batching, product forming, product steaming, and other sections of the work program, the successful production of autoclaved ancient bricks, and product compressive strength, surface quality are to meet the requirements of corporate standards.
The project is expected to use 3 million pieces of autoclaved ancient bricks, which can consume 6,000 tons of harmless slag. Wall material branch factory director FangXueWei said: “at present the steam ancient brick harmless ratio of 24%, we are still constantly adjusting the test, To ensure product quality based on further improve the harmless slag ratio.” Not only that, but the wall material branch plant also successfully uses the harmless slag production of solid bricks, the same can be used for internal projects related to JISCO.
