It is reported that the plant received the order of high-strength photovoltaic bracket steel with extreme specifications, which requires products with a yield strength of more than 500Mpa, and a tensile strength of more than 600Mpa, and specifications of 2.4-2.9mm×1270mm hot-rolled steel strip.
The order was submitted less than 7 days before delivery, and at that time the plant was about to carry out a total equipment stoppage for repair, the functional accuracy of the equipment before the repair was not conducive to the thin gauge rolling of high tensile steel, in addition, the support rolls were at the end of roll service, the production plan was difficult to schedule, and the steel BOM and material code needed a long reporting period, which was also a challenge for the technical R&D staff.
In the face of difficulties, the technical research and development staff were determined to shorten the order fulfillment process and increase the adaptive capability of the secondary model on the one hand and pay extra attention to the production control difficulties such as edge cracking, plate quality, and rolling stability, on the other hand, To realize the order fulfillment at one time.
Before production, the continuous casting operation area refines the slag protection, pulling speed, and pressing down a system to ensure casting stability and billet edge quality; the hot rolling operation area and production planning section optimizes the hot roll transition specification, transition amount, upper machine roll type accuracy and key rolling process system to ensure rolling stability, plate shape quality, and surface finish.
With the full cooperation of all departments in the plant and careful planning of management and technical personnel at all levels, the order was fulfilled with a total of more than 450 tons, with excellent mechanical property indexes and surface quality, meeting the requirements of users’ technical conditions, and was sent to users for use at the first time.
