Gansu Dongxing Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd.(Dongxing Aluminum for short) is the largest aluminum smelter in Gansu Province.From 2007 to 2011, Dongxing Aluminum has implemented three major technical reform projects, “Life Project” – 120,000 tons of 240KA pre-baked electrolytic alloy aluminum technical reform project.
“Hope Project” – 250,000 tons of 400KA pre-baked electrolytic cell alloying technical reform project, and “Soaring Project” – 1 million tons of energy-saving technical reform project, creating a powerful engine for the enterprise to take off. The construction of the three major projects has promoted the substantial improvement of Dongxing Aluminum’s technology level, equipment level, production capacity scale, and labor productivity, released good economic benefits, social benefits, scale benefits, and agglomeration effect, produced a vast social influence and industry influence, and made the enterprise’s production scale, business income, employee income, and economic strength all significantly improved.
In August 2010, Dongxing Aluminum implemented a preliminary strategic restructuring with JISCO, the largest steel conglomerate in Northwest China. Two parties jointly constructed a one-million-ton wind energy-carrying characteristic aluminum alloy energy-saving technology transformation project in Jiayuguan, Gansu.
In May 2012, Dongxing Aluminum became a wholly-owned subsidiary of JISCO with the continued increase in investment in Dongxing Aluminum by JISCO.
