On May 14, J1500HS, a 1570mm wide section cold-rolled hot-forming steel produced by the carbon steel sheet plant of Hongxing JSC, was successfully rolled off the line in the acid rolling mill, marking that JISCO has the batch production capacity of wide section hot-forming high-strength steel.
Cold-rolled hot-forming steel is an ultra-high-strength body material with high mechanical safety and good material forming accuracy, which is widely used in high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel sheet forming and manufacturing of key automotive parts (such as A and B pillars, crash beams, etc.).
Cold-rolled hot-formed steel products have high added value and a large profit space. The product can increase the body-bearing capacity by more than 30% while the bodyweight remains unchanged, and at the same time, it can reduce the body weight by about 20% under the premise of ensuring the body’s strength. Thus reducing the vehicle exhaust emission and achieving the purpose of energy-saving and emission reduction. It is the highest-strength steel plate currently used in automobiles and is a key product in the lightweight strategy and new energy industry.
Since this year, the technical staff of Carbon Steel Strip Institute of Steel Research Institute overcame the difficulties of complex product specifications, wide cross-section, high strength, and difficult on-site production, from product design and development, production planning, scheduling optimization, on-site production tracking, product quality confirmation and other aspects of careful planning, and gradually overcome some difficulties to ensure the first batch of 1570mm wide cross-section cold-rolled hot-formed steel orders of 750 tons successfully fulfilled.
This product not only enriches the product sequence of JISCO hot-forming steel but also occupies a strong competitive position in the domestic hot-forming steel manufacturing field.
